AWES Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Primary Teacher (PRT) posts will be based on the following stage.

Online Screening Test (OST)– AWES Online Screening Test will be conducted in online mode consisting of multiple choice questions. Candidates have to clear the OST to get selected for the post of teacher (regular and fixed term). Those who appear in the OST exam will be provided with a scorecard which will be valid for life.
(i) Regular candidates. With minimum overall raw score of 50% (100 marks) within two years of appointment.
(ii) Fixed term candidate with a minimum overall raw score of 40% (80 marks) within one year of appointment.
Interview– Candidates shortlisted in the OST exam will be called for an interview depending on the number of vacancies available and the place of employment. Candidates applying for a regular post are interviewed by the ‘Central Selection Board’ (CSB). Candidates applying for the post of teacher under ‘Fixed Term’ employment are interviewed by the ‘Local Selection Board’ (LSB).
Assessment of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency- For language teachers, a written test of 15 marks each will be conducted for essay and comprehension, along with an assessment of teaching skills. The selection committee may also conduct a computer proficiency test if it so wishes.
