NII PhD Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria
We have given details of the minimum eligibility criteria for National Institute of Immunology PhD Admission 2024 below, including the essential degree and marks requirements.
- Minimum degree required: Candidates must possess M.Sc. in any branch of Science (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics), M.Tech., MBBS, M.Pharma., Integrated M.Sc. or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum Marks Required: General category candidates need a minimum of 60% or equivalent grades in their Senior Secondary Certificate (10+2) and Bachelor’s degree, as well as at least 55% or equivalent grades in their Master’s degree. A relaxation of 5% in marks is given to candidates from other reserved categories.

NII PhD Admission 2024 Selection Process

National Institute of Immunology PhD JRF Stipend
The NII PhD program is scheduled to commence from January 1, 2025. Candidates who successfully clear the NII PhD entrance exam 2024 will be awarded a Junior Research Fellowship, which includes a monthly stipend of Rs 37,000. Candidates holding fellowships from organisations such as CSIR, UGC, ICMR, DBT or DST can continue to access these fellowships as per the rules of the respective funding agency. Additionally, all admitted students will be provided with shared hostel accommodation, as NII operates as a residential campus.
