JTET 2024- Key Highlights

Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test is a state level exam and is usually conducted in offline mode. Based on this exam, candidates are selected for the posts of Assistant Teacher and Urdu Assistant Teacher for classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8 for government schools in Jharkhand. The certificate issued after passing the JTET exam is valid for a lifetime.

Jharkhand Academic Council has activated the link to fill the online application form for JTET exam through the official web portal. Candidates are suggested to ensure that they enter only the correct details in the form otherwise their application will be rejected. Steps to apply for JTET 2024 exam

Here, below we have mentioned the detailed step-by-step procedure that will help the candidates to easily fill the Jharkhand TET 2024 Application Form for Assistant Teacher and Urdu Assistant Teacher Posts.

  1. Open your web browser and then visit the official website of Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi https://jac.jharkhand.gov.in/jac/.
  2. Now, start searching the JTET 2024 “Apply Online Link” and click on it.
  3. Now you will be redirected to the registration form filling portal.
  4. Register yourself by entering relevant details, working e-mail ID and mobile number.
  5. Once the registration is complete, log in to the application portal and start filling the JTET application form 2024.
  6. Now upload the required documents like Photograph, Signature, Marksheet and other required certificates.
  7. After proceeding, you will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the application/examination fee as per your specific category.
  8. Now, submit the JTET 2024 application form and take a print of it.

While filling the JTET application form 2024, candidates will be asked to pay the exam fee/application fee as per their respective categories. People belonging to primitive tribes have to pay Rs.600/- while applying for both primary and upper primary classes.

Jharkhand TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be eligible for the JTET 2024 exam as per the eligibility criteria specified by the official authorities. The eligibility criteria for Paper I and II are different and are given below. Age limit and educational qualification are considered to evaluate the eligibility for the posts of teacher in primary and upper primary classes.

For Paper I

The first paper of the Jharkhand TET 2024 exam will be conducted for candidates who want to become teachers for classes 1 to 5. Therefore, the eligibility criteria for Paper I are given below.

Age Limit Candidates applying for Paper 1 must be at least 18 years of age, but there is no detail about the maximum age limit.
Educational Qualification Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

They must have done 2 year Diploma or 4 year Bachelor program in Elementary Education

For Paper II

The second paper of Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted for those candidates who want to become teachers for classes VI to VIII. The eligibility requirements for this paper are given below.

Educational Qualification Candidates must have completed 2 years Diploma/Graduation programme in Elementary Education

Those who have done Bachelor of Science/Arts and Bachelor of Education (Integrated) are also eligible.

Before starting the preparation for the JTET 2024 exam, candidates must first check the exam pattern. This will help you decide which topic has more weightage and needs to be prepared well. Paper I – Exam Pattern

JTET 2024 Paper I will be conducted for a total of 200 marks and it will be conducted as an OMR-based exam. For every correct answer, candidates will be rewarded with +1.
